Two Cranes Aikido offers classes seven days a week. We are inspired to share a “way” to study the profound martial and contemplative teachings of Morehei Ueshiba, O Sensei, the founder of Aikido.

Our Introductory Classes highlight the basics of aikido movement, energy awareness exercises, and conflict resolution philosophy. All levels of students attend this class.

General Classes are open to all teen and adult members of the dojo who have completed an introductory series. Each class includes movement practices for a wide range of abilities. All levels of students are welcome to attend.

Blended Intro/General Classes begin with introductory movements and techniques including the principles of offering ukemi. As the class progresses, techniques will become more advanced at which point intro students can continue their practice on the back mat or watch the remainder of class.

Aiki Connections designed to study presence, connection and flow of energy within oneself and between uke and nage. We will study traditional aikido techniques to the point of taking balance. It is open to new students as well as current and former aikido students.

Weapons Classes include the study of traditional aiki weapons: sword, staff, and knife. Students who wish to attend the advanced sword class will need to complete a series of beginning weapons classes.

Sunday Advanced Class focuses on the freestyle movements and multiple attack practices ofJiyu Waza and Randori. Participants must be 4th Kyu or above.

Tai chi Classes: The Chen style 48 form is offered by Ken Wright Sifu at both beginning and advanced levels. These classes are open to the general dojo community but are not included in our regular membership dues.
