Game Night

Saturday, April 25 | 5:30 - 9:30 pm | Ages 8+

Join us for a night of fun Aikido games and board games!

We will play Aikido games for an hour and a half followed by dinner and board games. Kids ages 8 and older are invited to attend. Bring a friend and get to know your Aikido friends off the mat.

Please let friend's parents know we will need a signed waiver in order to participate.

  • Fee is $65

Bring a Friend to Try Aikido

Kids, ages 6 - 12:

Teens:

Help your friends learn to dodge a sword strike, learn a technique, and play an aikido game.

Parental permission is required.

Please let friend's parents know we will need a signed waiver before class.

Youth Summer Camp

July 13 - 17 | 9 am - 3 pm | Ages 7 - 13

Join us for a lively week at summer camp!

We will offer traditional aikido practices and weapons training along with games, origami, taiko drumming, other Japanese cultural activities and one day of hiking the trails and beach at St. Edwards State Park (weather permitting).

Instructors include Lynda Matsumoto, Youth Program Director, Sara Gerhart Snell Sensei, and other blackbelts in the children’s program.

  • Open to current and new students.

  • Min 10 / Max 20 participants

  • Fee is $500

    • $100 deposit is due at registration

    • The $400 balance is due July 1

Mini-Cranes Summer Camp

July 6 - 10 | 9:30 - 11:45 am | Ages 4 - 6

Join us for a lively week at summer camp!

During this week of training we will focus on skill building including centering, rolling, knee walking, connecting, and moving off the line of attack. We will play a variety of non-competitive games that encourage cooperative problem solving. Healthy snacks will be provided daily.

  • Open to current and new students. Bring a friend!

  • Min 8 / Max 16 students

  • Fee $250

Summer Classes for Kids

Ages 6 - 12
July 6 - August 13
Mondays and Thursdays 4:30 - 5:30 pm

We are offering a flexible summer session of classes for kids. This is open to currently enrolled AND new students.

Tuition covers the cost of 9 out of 12 classes allowing for some flexibility for summer travel plans.

Summer classes offer more weapons and variety of activities. They tend to be smaller allowing for more individual time with the Senseis. Keep your skills up and bring a friend along. It's a great time to start.

Summer Classes for Teens

Ages 6 - 12

Punch cards valid for classes taken June 14 - Sept 8, 2026

Teens are encouraged to train in adult classes during the summer where they will likely see a wider variety of techniques. Training with the adults is a requirement for achieving 3rd kyu and higher ranks.
