A Home for Practice, Partnership & Community

Since opening our doors, TCI has become a welcoming space for thousands of students and families. Now we need to strengthen the infrastructure to serve more people, deepen community partnerships, and carry this work into the next generation.

In December 2025, Two Cranes Institute launched a capital campaign to secure a home for the Art of Peace. Our goal is to eliminate the facility mortgage (done!), renovate the space, and ensure long-term financial stability. See our 2-page flyer on Securing a Home for the Art of Peace.

This campaign is about more than preserving a building. It is about creating the infrastructure TCI needs to serve more people, deepen community partnerships, and carry the Art of Peace into the next generation.

TCI Capital Campaign Goals

Phase 1

Goal 1: Retire Mortgage: In May 2026, TCI met its $1.6 million goal to retire the mortgage and free vital annual funds  for programs, scholarships and staff. TCI now has a permanent home!

Goal 2: Renovate building envelope and first floor. Renovate the building structure to meet current energy and fire suppression codes and make an additional 2,500 sq ft of street-level space available for flexible studios, gathering spaces, offices, improved accessibility, and long-term sustainability. These spaces will support our programs on leadership development, healthy aging, and trauma-informed learning as well as community gatherings and mission-aligned partnerships. Cost: $1.6 million.

Goal 3: Program capacity. Invest in the people and partnerships needed to grow community programs and sustain the work over time.

Phase 2

Renovate lower level. Renovate the 5,000 sq ft of the lower level. This space with 15-foot-tall ceilings will be used to support expanded programmatic offerings and partnering with other organizations. Cost: $2.4 million.

IRA Contribution Tax Benefits

For our patrons who are 70 ½ years young or above, you can make a difference with your donation AND save on taxes by making a gift directly from your IRA. Your qualified charitable distribution (QCD) may satisfy all or part of the amount of your required minimum distribution from your IRA.

Matching Gifts

You can often double your donation!  Many companies will match employees’ philanthropic donations; this is a great way to increase the impact of your gift. Contact your HR department for more information. We are happy to help facilitate an employee-matching gift.

Donor Advised Funds

You may recommend contributions from your donor-advised fund (DAF) account to Two Cranes Institute. Contact your sponsoring organization to ask about gifting guidelines.

Give Stocks or Securities

Gifts of stocks are tax-deductible to the full extent of the IRS.

Legacy Gifts

Deferred gifts and bequests may not qualify for a tax deduction immediately, but can provide significant long-term tax and income benefits to you or your loved ones. Contact us to learn more!
